Disclothesure, a Black Woman-Owned Business, Sells Your Fashion Faves for Less

Happy Small Business Sunday! For today’s entry, I was in the middle of perusing the Disclothesure site when I stumbled across several interesting discoveries. They were selling three items I have seen from other online retailers for less! One of the biggest complaints many black consumers have for not supporting black-owned businesses is the prices. With that said, when I saw the following five pieces, I was ecstatic! Let’s review the steals:
Disclothesure’s Aaron Dress is a dupe for Love & Lemons’ Antigua Mini Dress (savings: $195 )
Their Aaron Dress was a dead-on dupe for For Love & Lemons’ Antigua Mini Dress in Chartreuse.
Once spied everywhere – namely Revolve, Lulus, Shopbop, Boutique to You, Shoptiques and more – the mesh and lace confection retailed for $224, but Disclothesure’s “A-List” Dress is selling for a mere $29! See the neon yellow beauty below:
Thoroughly intrigued, I inspected several other items that seemed vaguely familiar. Let’s continue!
Disclothesure’s Gillian Dress is a dupe for Nasty Gal Monster Tux Halter Dress (savings: $38)
Inspired by the black tux mini-trend, Nasty Gal debuted the Monster Tux Halter Dress for $78 earlier this year. Disclothesure’s Gillian Dress, originally $65 but still cheaper than the original, is now selling for a mere $40.
Disclothesure’s Dawn Tube Top is a dupe for Endless Rose Orange & Pink Crop Top Bustier (savings: unknown)
This particular piece was a doozy to find! This orange and fuchsia color block cropped tube top was manufactured by Endless Rose and was sold by Zara and Topshop at one point. Disclothesure sells it for $18 (down from $48). I think it’s safe to say that it was selling for over $50 on the sites mentioned above.
Another black woman-owned business, Shop Fly Jane, is also selling this same tube top. Named THE MATRIX Colorblock Tube Top, it retails for $25 (down from $36).
Disclothesure’s Shelly Cape Dress is a dupe for NastyGal’s Kendra Plunging Cape Dress in Nude (savings: $23)
I love a great cape, don’t you? Nasty Gal started the new year with this beguiling trend by offering their $68 Kendra Plunging Cape Dress in Nude. Disclothesure, also in love with this superheroine-inspired frock, added it to their inventory as the Shelly Cape Dress. It went for $75 (!) but recently went on sale for $45.
Disclothesure’s Kelly Dress is a dupe for Asos Lavish Alice Midi Dress with Halter Neck and Cold Shoulder (savings: $54)
The cold shoulder trend is one of the year’s sexier spin on “show a little skin.” Lavish Alice Midi Dress with Halterneck and Cold Shoulder was a hot seller when it was live on the Asos site at $104. Disclothesure, who has proven to have great taste, also added the peek-a-boo number to their lineup as the Kelly Dress. Once sold at $65, the simple, but sensual piece is now $50.
