Celebrity makeup artist Troy Jensen (one of my faves) recently shared his take on Saturday Night Fever by tapping actress Garcelle Beauvais to be his “Disco Muse.” Drawing inspiration from 70’s goddess Donna Summer, Jensen transformed Beauvais with dramatic black eyes and glossy bold lips.
Her makeup palette is as follows:
Jensen “blended shades of vibrant purple over a black cream liner.” He listed four products to get the look:
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Potent Purple, Essence STAYS no matter what jumbo eye pencil & shadow in Powerful Purple, Sephora Eye Graphic 4 Colors Palette in Violet Smoky, and Hard Candy Shadowholic 12-Hr Waterproof Eye Crayon in Purple Rain. The black cream liner in question is Maybelline Gel Eye Liner in Black. Beauvais is wearing Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll in Black.
Garcelle is working that lip! Vamp for your life with any of the following (all Jensen’s suggestions): Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Black Plum, CoverGirl Queen Collection Lipcolor in Fine Wine, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Dekadent, Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Prune Avenue, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry. Finish the look with Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss Shimmering Lip Gloss in Golden Fuchsia.
What do you think? Wouldn’t this serve as an awesome blueprint on how to be 70’s goddess for Halloween 2014?
